  • Question about flying into Vegas during thunderstorm

    Hi

Hoping to get an answer before I fly on Wednesday, London to Vegas. I've checked the weather forecast and found thunderstorms predicted in the afternoon during our arrival time and am slightly panicking - how would this work if there was thunderstorms in the area at that time, presumably we cant really fly around it?

I was already concerned about turbulence due to it being Vegas and this isn't helping.

Any reassuring information would be very helpful.

That is just a standard summertime forecast. It's routine. Easy to fly around them if there are any.

      Hello Capt,

If there is no way around the storm do they wait until the storm passes by?

If the pilots think it is getting too rough for the passengers to put up with it, they divert to another airport and wait for the weather to move on.
